The Village of Morodouo is attached to the Sub-Prefecture of Laoudi-bâ 80 kilometers from Bondoukou. It has only one “community school”, with two (02) classes, opened since 2003 by the NGO Soleil Levant / Education. The community school (Ecom) is a non-formal education space aimed at meeting the educational needs of children in underprivileged and underschooled areas. This initiative is an alternative to the problem of access to basic education for out-of-school children due to a lack of school infrastructure. Although life-saving, this community school initiative has limits insofar as the teachers are young volunteers without pedagogical training and at the exclusive charge of the communities, 80% of school-age children in the village, i.e. more than 350 children, are out of school. school because of the parents' loads, the classroom shelters (huts) made of precarious materials do not fully ensure the safety of the children, do not withstand bad weather and their destruction leads to the frequent cessation of lessons, which negatively impacts the quality teaching insufficiently trained volunteer teachers do not guarantee quality supervision of Ecom children. As a lasting solution to the education and protection of all children against the worst forms of work in Morodouo, it is a question of transforming the Ecom of Morodouo into a public primary school by carrying out the construction of classrooms, a canteen school and latrines in permanent materials and favoring the assignment of permanent teachers
