Football Based Sexual Reproductive Health Education and Support Service Access

This project will use the power and popularity of football to reach 1,000 young people in Lusaka, Zambia with the Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) knowledge, services, and skills to take control of their sexual health, empowering them to reach their economic and social potential . We will train 20 peer educators to become SRH educators, enabling them to become change agents in their communities, providing a voice to vulnerable young people in their communities. Covid-19 has exacerbated an already dangerous situation for young people in Lusaka in regards to their sexual health with pandemics affecting supply chains of SRH services and products, deepening existing inequalities, and often putting vulnerable young people at risk of violence and exploitation. This project will directly improve the SRH of young people through its innovative use of football as a way to engage young people on their health and wellbeing.
