French Communication Officer – Virlanie Foundation – Manille

Descriptif :

The French communication officer reports to the Communication Manager of Virlanie Foundation. She / he pursues the overall objective of primarily (but not exclusively) developing Virlanie’s overall communication strategy.
– Follow the communication strategy for VFI,
– Communicate with the different pole (France, Belgium, Switzerland, Quebec) about the work and the evolution of the Foundation

Mission :

– Communicate on all the events of the Foundation thanks to communication tools for the French-speaking countries:
– Update the website in French,
– Update, translate or create new communications tools for French-speaking countries: press book, media kit, presentation, flyer, info sheets …
– Create, write or translate article, and publish the newsletter for our French audience (in collaboration with the English communication Officer)
– Help us to create the annual repport (brainstorming, translation…)
– Ensure the link between Virlanie and the French expatriate community and coordinate the venue of journalists or French-speaking visitors
– One week end per month, welcome visitors during their visits, activities. Guide them and answer to their questions.

Profil du candidat

Formation :

Degree in Communication

Expérience :

Work Experience
– At least 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience in a communication department in the NGO sector or in private sector,
– Significant experience with writing articles in the French press,
– Significant experience with using different communication tools ,
– Experience in translation (English to French),
– Experience in design and graphics,

Competencies required
– Knowledge in Photoshop and Indesign,
– Excellent teamwork member,
– Spirit of initiative,
– Autonomy.
Knowledge with photography and video production would be a plus.


Langues :

– Excellent writing skills in French,
– Good verbal communication skills in French and English,
– Good skills in translation English to French

Working conditions

Statute: VSI (Volontariat de Solidarité Internationale)
Duration: Minimum 1 year
Number of hours per week: Full Time (40 hours per week)
+ 1 week end per month
Allowance: 11.500 PHP per month
Insurance: VSI insurance
Transportation and Visa: VFI pays the plane ticket (two ways) from the city of origin to the Philippines and all visa demands/extensions
Food: VFI provides the lunch on working days (during the first month in immersion, all the meals are covered by VFI)
Accommodation: One month in immersion* in one of the residential homes, and for the rest of the time, accommodation in one of the two volunteer houses* (VH)
